Opportunity Detail Page
The opportunity detail page is a comprehensive hub for managing a deal. It brings together all the information, relationships, financials, and history you need to drive the deal to a successful close.
Opportunity Detail Layout
The header section displays:
- Opportunity Name — displayed prominently
- Amount — the deal's monetary value
- Stage Bar — visual progress through pipeline stages (similar to leads)
- Close Date — expected closing date
- Probability — win likelihood percentage
- Account — linked organization
- Owner — assigned sales rep
- Action buttons — Edit, Close Won, Close Lost, Delete

Tabs
The opportunity detail page has 13 tabs covering every aspect of deal management:
Details
All standard and custom fields for the opportunity, organized into collapsible field groups. View and edit deal information, qualification criteria, and custom attributes.
Contact Roles
Manage the stakeholders involved in this deal. Each contact is assigned a role (Decision Maker, Influencer, Champion, etc.).
To add a contact role:
- Click Add Contact Role.
- Search for a contact or create a new one.
- Select the role from the dropdown.
- Optionally mark as primary contact.
- Click Save.

Ensure every opportunity has at least a Decision Maker and a Champion identified. Deals without clear stakeholder roles are statistically less likely to close.
Products
Line items for this opportunity — the products and services being sold.
To add a product:
- Click Add Product.
- Search for a product from your catalog.
- Enter quantity, unit price, and any discount.
- The line total calculates automatically.
- Click Save.
The total of all line items can auto-update the opportunity amount.
Proposals
Proposals generated for this opportunity. View, create, and track proposal documents sent to the prospect.
Contracts
Contract records linked to this opportunity. Track contract status, terms, and signatures.
Invoices
Invoices generated from this opportunity. Create invoices, track payment status, and view billing history. See Invoices Overview.
Activity
A timeline of all interactions related to this opportunity — calls, emails, meetings, stage changes, and system events. See Activity Timeline.
Emails
Email threads linked to this opportunity. Compose, reply, and forward emails in context.
Notes
Free-text notes about the deal — meeting summaries, negotiation points, competitor intelligence, etc. See Notes & Documents.
Files
Documents attached to this opportunity — proposals, contracts, presentations, RFPs, and supporting materials.
Tasks
Tasks linked to this opportunity — follow-ups, demos, proposal reviews, contract preparation. Create tasks directly from this tab. See Tasks Overview.
Stage History
A chronological timeline of every stage change the opportunity has undergone:
- Stage name — which stage the opportunity moved to
- Timestamp — when the change occurred
- Duration — how long the opportunity spent in each stage
- Changed by — which user moved it
This provides visibility into deal velocity and identifies where deals get stuck.

Forecast
Forecast-specific information for this opportunity:
- Forecast Category — how the deal is classified for forecasting
- Weighted Amount — amount multiplied by probability
- Forecast History — changes to forecast category over time

Managing Line Items
The Products tab provides full line-item management:
- Add products from the catalog
- Edit quantities, prices, and discounts
- Remove line items
- Reorder items by drag-and-drop
- View subtotal, discount, tax, and grand total
Stage History Timeline
The Stage History tab provides accountability and insights:
- See which stages took the longest (potential bottlenecks)
- Identify who moved the deal at each step
- Understand deal velocity from creation to close
Stage history is automatically tracked by the system. Every stage change is recorded with no manual input required.
